Growing Pains

Last Sunday we went to Tesano Ward. Two wards were invited to the meeting where the Stake President presided and divided the two wards into three. Everyone seemed to take it all in stride until the bishop of the new Alajo Ward was announced and you thought they were all going to stand up and cheer! There was an audible buzz of excitement. It was fun to see. These are small wards now and they will have to work hard to grow. This is all what we call here "building from Centers of Strength". Within 3 years these wards should be large enough to make another division...and eventually another Stake.

It is a wonderful thing to observe. Sunday night we got an email from our neighbor in Nevada who announced that our ward at home had been divided and we were now in the new ward. The church is growing! Lives are being blessed with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Can you believe that we are now in a different ward? I am really surprised about it and I should not be. We are now in the original ward we were in when we moved into Henderson.
I love reading your blog!
